## **Free chess analysis for every one of your games**

Sound familiar? You lose a game that felt good for a long time, and afterwards you can't quite tell where it went wrong. That is exactly what this analysis board is for. Load your game from GameCircle, Chess.com or Lichess, or simply paste a PGN. A chess engine such as Stockfish goes through it move by move and shows you where the game turned.

It costs nothing: no subscription, no daily limit, no feature that only unlocks after you pay. You can analyze as many games as you like, just not all of them in the same minute.

### **What you see in the game review**

Every move gets a grade, from book move to blunder. What counts is not whether the engine would rather have played something else, but how much your move changed your winning chances according to its evaluation. The evaluation graph shows the whole game at a glance: where you were ahead, where it got tight and on which move the game turned.

You also get your accuracy in percent, the opening you played and the engine's best moves for every position. If you missed a mate or a clear win, it is marked separately. These moments are often the most instructive ones.

On the board you can try your own ideas at any time, add variations and write comments. And if you really want to take something away: with “Learn from your mistakes” you replay your critical moments and look for the better move yourself before the engine reveals the solution.

### **Load your games in a few seconds**

Logged in on GameCircle? Then your recent games are right there in the list, one click is enough. For Chess.com and Lichess your username is all it takes, and your last ten finished games are ready to choose from. Single games load from their link.

Saved your games as a PGN file? Paste the text or open the file, done. And if you are only interested in one particular position, enter it as FEN or set it up in the position editor.

### **Strong engines on our server or in your browser**

The analysis runs on our servers with a strong chess engine such as Stockfish. Which engine and which version did the work is shown right in the analysis. We remember positions that have been calculated before. If your game contains such positions, for example in popular openings, the analysis is done faster there.

If our servers are busy right now, you can also let the analysis run in your browser. The engine in the browser is clearly weaker than the one on the server, but you don't have to wait.

#### **Is it really free?**

</summary>

Yes. There is no subscription and no paid extra analysis, and the number of games per day is not limited. So that the servers are enough for everyone, only a few analyses can be started per minute. If the servers are busy right now, you wait briefly or let the analysis run in your browser. This applies to all time controls, from bullet to classical.

#### **What exactly does the analysis show me?**

</summary>

Every move gets a grade depending on how much it changed your winning chances according to the engine. On top of that you get your accuracy in percent, an evaluation graph over the whole game and the engine's best moves for every position. The opening is recognized from an opening database, and missed mates and wins are highlighted separately. All grades are based on the engine's evaluation: they are a good guide, but not a final verdict.

#### **Where can I load games from?**

</summary>

After logging in you see your own GameCircle games in a list, ten per page. From Chess.com and Lichess the analysis loads your last ten finished games via your username, for Chess.com from the last four months. You can load a single game from its link. With Chess.com this does not always work; pasting the game as PGN helps then. You can also paste any game as PGN and any position as FEN. Only finished games of standard chess are imported, variants such as Chess960 not yet.

#### **How reliable is the analysis?**

</summary>

For the game review the engine calculates every position to a fixed depth and with limited time per move. As a rule that is enough to find blunders and missed tactics. In very close decisions or deep strategic questions a longer calculation can come to a different result. In that case let the position run longer on the analysis board. Which engine and which version did the work is shown in the analysis. If the analysis runs in your browser, it is clearly weaker than on the server.

<details>

<summary>

#### **Can I have just one position checked?**

</summary>

Yes. Paste the FEN or set up the position in the editor. The engine starts calculating right away and shows you the best moves with their evaluation, up to five variations at once if you like. The longer it calculates, the more reliable the result.
